I’ve always used Atahualpa which is probably the best free WordPress Theme available. Do you know what extras you get when you pay for Thesis?

Keep the enthusiasm and go ahead with this process of building a successul website. It doesn’t matter if Thesis is the best WordPress theme. The great thins is that who is interested will be working concretely towards his/her goal.

Ryan,

I’ve heard much about Thesis, I’ve also heard about Headway, there may also be others. I’m fairly happy with my theme at the moment but I may be looking for something a bit different in the future. For novice bloggers like me it’s a challenge knowing which one to choose. I think John Haydon wrote a comparison post for Headway and Thesis, which I found very useful. I’d like to see more info other than the theme designers pitch.

I will check it out… I think I got turned onto it because you can switch domains quickly on it, I’m guessing it’s a horse apiece.

I’ve never used Thesis, but have been building WordPress sites for three years. Hear lots of good things, just haven’t had the minerals to shell out the $80 for the license. I hear they have a bulk rate (like unlimited license for $200 or something), but am still gun shy. One of these days I’ll bite the bullet and try it

Plus, I heard thesis is very SEO happy. Although, I am not sure the perks of using Thesis. It is a clean looking theme.

Ryan, why do you have to use Filezilla to upload your theme with bluehost? I love Bluehost, but I just upload all my stuff on their cpanel file directory. No Filezilla needed. Check into, cuz that just sounds like way extra work than needed.

There’s a lot of support and tutorials for building a professional looking site with it since it’s so customizeable. There’s literally full websites just for thesis customization, which is pretty sweet. I’ve gone with several templates before and just prefer to use thesis because it makes my life a lot easier. I think it’s like $87 bucks(ish) which is worth it to me since it saves me time in the long run. To each his (or her) own, works for me though.
