Whoa! Most intriguing and the best analogy I’ve encountered so far. I think if you just view it objectively (like what I did) the analogy is perfect. I didn’t find it gooey or anything just a plain common sense . I think the great barrier for me is my fear of rejection. I do write my ideas down as quickly as I can but I dismiss them too quick and switch to another one. I fell distracted with the other ‘sperms” that I end up empty handed. Thanks for sharing the Egg mantra.

Your metaphor works, but it’s super distracting when trying to read through your post! Holy cow, I just kept getting all of these visuals… I couldn’t get past the “What life condoms are blocking your ideas?” paragraph. Just a thought – next time, think about using the metaphor for the intro sentence of each point/paragraph, and then drop it so that the reader can focus on the real issue. You could have easily used the word, “barrier” instead of “condom” in that sentence, and I would have been able to absorb the information effortlessly. Instead it became a distraction.

I’m not sure if you could have found a better analogy.

You’d have been great at debating. Ever heard of squirling and argument? It’s like making an argument out of nothing but making it sound so convincing people buy it.

I think I buy it. I’m going to see how people react when I tell them that ideas are like sperm.
