I have a few ideas in my mind of what I’d like to do. The hardest thing (besides finding the time to do it) is being held accountable. At the end of the day, if no one is there saying, “why didn’t you do this/that?”, then it’s that bit harder to persue.

I’d be in for a group like a few of us above.

And yes pre-empting your question, if you started a group that tracked something weekly I’d definitely be interested.

For the past 6 months I’ve been doing that with my business advisor – emailing him each week with targets and updates from previous weeks. This really kicked me into gear, I was finding myself slipping off track and being my own worst enemy (working for myself, procastination, time management, e.t.c.)

@Investing Newbie I think fear of failure is one of the reason why most of us don’t even bother to attempt to’try’ and reach our goals. Rather than see it as a burden, sharing ideas of what we wish to achieve is actually a wonderful support network that we should take advantage of.

It reminds me also of Napolean Hills ‘Think and grow Rich – The mastermind, where he talks off an added mind, an ‘spiritual mind’ as it were that forms when a group sharing the same goals come together, connect and brainstorm.

Now although we are speaking via the internet, so it differs slightly from meeting face to face. I think that this forum of like minded individuals all with similar goals does if nothing else fuel us to continue on in our quests to find financial freedom.

But (secretly) I think this forum, does and will do a lot lot more.

I think so many of us get stuck in what we know, our comfort zone. We give ourselves an excuse for not accomplishing something..when we say, “at least we tried…”

Each situation is unique so I don’t know what’s best for your because I don’t know what you’re goals are with your blog. If it’s for business purposes you definitely not have a .blogspot blog – it portrays that you’re not serious enough to get your own domain.
