@ Tracy – I’m glad I made your morning! I have not heard of that book so I’ll have to see if I can take a peek at it next time at the library or a book store.

@ Meg – It does seem a bit backwards, but I feel a lot more content now than even a year ago just trying to focus on others and how I can help more than focusing on myself. There’s an inner calm that comes with that which is very rewarding. Thank you for your comment!

You made my morning Ryan. I love seeing someone appreciate their blessings. It’s inspiring. I have developed a habit, based on one of my favorite books (Happier, by Tal Ben Shahar). Each night before I turn off the light, I list at least 5 things I’m grateful for in that moment. I keep a journal next to the bed just for this purpose. It helps bring sweeter dreams and reminds me that my life is pretty darn good, even in the midst of a reinvention.
